Baltimore e-commerce firm awarded $500,000 through InvestMaryland

Product Updates

A Baltimore e-commerce software provider has received $500,000 under the state’s InvestMaryland program.

SalesWarp, founded in 2009, will use the funding to grow its line of products including its Spark product which that offers e-commerce management through cloud hosting.

The company currently has 12 employees and plans to double that number by the end of 2015. The startup is located in Baltimore’s Emerging Technology Center.

“We’re using this funding to expand our market share nationally, meet rising customer demand and continued innovation of our product lines to propel growth,” CEO David Potts said in a statement.

InvestMaryland, which in 2012 raised $84 million through an insurance tax auction, invests in seed and early-stage companies in the state. The program is administered the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development.
